In demand festival emcee, seasoned broadcaster, promoter, freelance writer and emissary of all good things Canadian, George McKnight has made it his life's work to make bluegrass music an enjoyable experience for audience and entertainers alike.  He is the "front man" of Uptown Bluegrass and the face you are most likely to see at a growing number of festivals throughout the United States and Canada.  George is also the host of the Uptown Bluegrass radio show and in charge of advertising sales for the company.

Making this an international venture simply by residing in the United States, Kathy Boyd represents the technical side of the business, taking care of web design and customer service.  Her history includes a long time relationship with the Northwest bluegrass community including serving on bluegrass association boards, writing for publications, emcee work, and performing in the original bluegrass and Americana band, Kathy Boyd & Phoenix Rising.  She co-hosts the Uptown Bluegrass radio show with George, adding her sultry voice to announcements and commercial advertisements.

On the air since 1982, you can catch the Uptown Bluegrass radio show on a growing number of stations throughout Canada  and the United States.  We are always under negotiations to expand Uptown Bluegrass onto new airwaves, and you can listen to the show worldwide 24-hours per day 7 days per week on this site!
